How does the Walk Card work?
You place a credit of £20.00 every 4 weeks on a rolling payment card which entitles you to 4 walks of 3 miles. The credit must be used within the 4 week period as it is not refundable or transferable. You can opt out once your credit has expired or at the end of the 4 week period and transfer to PAYG if that suits you better. (although In the long term this is more costly)
To take advantage of the discounted prices of £5.00 per walk for up to 3 miles you will need to commit to do 4 walks over a 4 week period, this equates to 1 walk a week. If you are unable to attend one week, providing you have given me 24 hours’ notice, you can re book and attend a different walk on a different day. Less than 24 hours’ notice results in a charge for that walk being made to your walk card as set out in my Terms & Conditions.
You can of course walk more often or do a longer walk should you wish but you will just need to keep your card in credit by topping up on the day to take advantage of the lower prices.
You can book from a month in advance down to 12 hours prior for any walk but places are limited so always book early to secure your place.
Can I just do Pay As You Go?
Sure you can. If you prefer the freedom of just coming along to a walk when you have some free time that’s great, however the walks are a little bit more expensive as they start at £7.00 for up to a 3 mile walk. With this system you can just dip in and out as you feel. You will still need to use the booking system at www.nordicwalkingnorthampton.com to book your walk and it's still a minimum of 12 hours’ notice to book.
* in either scenario if you are wanting to attend a walk and it's less than 12 hours notice you will need to text or call me just in case the walk time or location has changed or the walk has been cancelled*
