Wellbeing walks are a great starting point for beginners or those suffering injuries or getting back to fitness after an operation. These are much gentler walks and are great for your 1st few walks to get a feel for where you are at, we focus more on on the getting the technique right, developing a steady rythmn & building confidence using the poles. These groups are very sociable and most walkers do go for a cuppa and a chat in the Drovers cafe at the end of our walks.
I have varied walks in Northampton. Stamina walks start at 3 miles and go to 4.5 miles. There are 2 levels of Stamina walks depending on the length and the terrain. These will either be a level 2 (green) or level 3 (blue) walk. These walks are meant to get the heart rate up to start getting you fitter and stronger. They are suitable for everyone but some terrains will be more difficult so always check with me prior to booking so I can advise you on the suitability.
These are for those who want to really test themselves and push their fitness as they are longer distances. We have lots of walks in Northampton & they start start at 5 miles and go up to half marathon distances of 13 miles. They will build core strength and burn lots of calories. They will really help you drop the lbs whilst improving your endurance and fitness.
Short & quick is the way to go with these walks. Bursts of speed followed by normal walking over 3 miles to really get the heart rate up. Great fun and a new way to experience Nordic Walking
These are walks specially designed for Offices, Clubs or Community Centres that can be tailored to suit your members needs. Personalised Training over 1-4 sessions then regular weekly walks from either your location or from any of the locations I have on offer
We do 2 Charity Walks a year. 1 is for a larger Charity like ParkinsonsUk or Prostate Cancer and the other for something closer to our hearts and more local. If you have a particular Charity in mind then let me know.
